Overview
There are two ways to use the Appfront platform:
Using Appfront’s default URL – yourbrandname.appfront.app
Using a branded domain (under your own website) – order.yourdomain.com
The main reason to set up a branded domain is to improve your SEO (so your menu can be indexed by Google) and to enable proper tracking in Google Analytics. If you’re running Google Ads, using a branded domain is essential—otherwise, you may lose tracking capabilities.
In this article we'll explain you how you can transition Appfront to your domain, So instead of showing: [businessname].appfront.app ==> transition to:
order.[businessname].com
How to set it up?
Step 1: create the Sub-Domain for Ordering
Go to the Portal under the Hosting Section, add your new sub-domain:
order.yourdomain.com, for example: order.appfront.ai
Once you do that "DNS Records" will be created.
Step 2: Add DNS records to your Web Hosting
Once you add the domain and click on "Add Domain", DNS records will be created. You will need to COPY and PASTE them "As-is" to your web hosting. (In order to add the DNS records - please open the drop down 🔽 arrow to reveal the fields and values of the CNAME records to be added )
