Blended Tax and Fees (Combine Tax & Service Charges)

Blended Tax and Fees allows merchants to combine taxes and service charges into a single line item during checkout. An info icon is displayed next to the line item, which customers can tap to view a customizable disclaimer explaining what’s included.

How to Enable

  1. Go to Designer

  2. Navigate to the Order Flow tab

  3. Toggle on:
    ​“Combine Tax and Service Charges to One Checkout Field”

How It Works

  • Taxes and service charges are displayed as a single combined line item

  • An info icon appears next to the line item

  • Tapping the icon opens a disclaimer modal

Customizing the Disclaimer

  • Default text reflects standard estimated tax messaging

  • Merchants can update this using the Translate feature

Recommended use cases for customization:

  • Explaining service fees

  • Calling out regulatory or compliance fees

  • Providing transparency around pricing structure
