What is Guest-Facing Loyalty?
Once enabled, guests can sign in to their loyalty account directly from the Guest-Facing Display using one of the available lookup methods:
Phone Number
Email Address
QR Code (requires a compatible barcode scanner)
The available sign-in methods are configurable within Toast's third-party loyalty settings.
How the Guest Experience Works
1. Guest Signs In
When checking out, guests are prompted to sign in using their preferred lookup method.
They can choose to:
Enter their phone number
Scan their loyalty QR code (if supported by your hardware)
2. Rewards Are Evaluated
After a successful sign-in, Toast checks the guest's AppFront Loyalty account.
One of two experiences will occur:
No rewards available — The guest is successfully checked in and continues with checkout.
Rewards available — Eligible rewards are displayed once a qualifying item has been added to the order.
By default, Toast allows one reward redemption per order.
3. Guest Redeems or Skips
If rewards are available, the guest can:
Redeem an eligible reward
Select Skip if they would rather save their reward for a future visit
If a reward is redeemed, it is automatically applied as a discount on the current order and a confirmation is displayed.
How to Enable Guest-Facing Loyalty
Guest-Facing Loyalty must be enabled by Toast.
Please contact the AppFront Support team support@appfront.ai and we'll coordinate the enablement request with Toast on your behalf.

Your restaurant name
Your Toast location(s)
Your Toast GUID (if available)
Hardware Requirements
QR code sign-in requires a compatible scanner.
At this time, Toast notes that Zebra scanners are supported, while other scanner models may not support QR code sign-in.
