Overview
From a customer's profile, you can take a number of manual actions: send a compensation gift, add or deduct store credit, adjust points, log a visit, send a one-off message, manage their subscription to texts/emails, or block a fraudulent account.
Finding a Customer
Look up the customer by phone number — phone number is the system's unique identifier. Their profile shows rewards, points balance, lifetime value, and visit history.
Actions
Send a gift — Compensate a customer by sending them a gift through a compensation campaign (for example, a "We're sorry" campaign). Best for recurring or templated compensation flows. See Campaign Triggers 101 for more on compensation campaigns.
Deduct points — Rarely used; useful if there was a point redemption issue and points need to be manually removed.
Add or deduct store credit — Previously this action only let you deduct store credit (for example, to correct a redemption issue). You can now add store credit directly from the profile as well — so a one-off credit (e.g., "sorry about your order, here's $5") no longer requires building a campaign. Use this for one-off cases; use a compensation campaign instead for anything recurring or templated.
Add points (log a visit) — Add a visit with the check amount, check number, location, and time. Points are added automatically based on your points ratio.
Send a message — Send an individual message or notification to the customer.
Manage texts/emails — If a customer wants to stop receiving texts, you can unsubscribe them here.
Block for fraud — Under Security & Privacy, you can block a customer's account. See Blocking Customer Profiles for full steps.
