Granting AppFront Access to Your GoDaddy Account for DNS Updates

How to use GoDaddy's Delegate Access feature to let AppFront make DNS updates on your behalf, without sharing your GoDaddy login.

Written by Sarah Appfront

Overview

If your domain is hosted with GoDaddy, AppFront can make DNS updates on your behalf (for example, publishing a branded ordering subdomain) without needing your GoDaddy username and password.

GoDaddy's Delegate Access feature lets you grant AppFront limited access to just your domain settings. Follow the steps below to invite us.

Step 1: Log In to GoDaddy

Go to godaddy.com and log in to your account.

Step 2: Open Account Settings

Click your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner, then select Account Settings.

Step 3: Click Delegate Access

In the left-hand menu, click Delegate Access.

Step 4: Invite AppFront

At the bottom of the screen, click Invite Access and enter:

Step 5: Set the Access Level

Under Products, make sure Domains is selected, with Purchases set as the top-level access.

Step 6: Send the Invite

Submit the invitation.

Step 7: Let Us Know

Once you've sent the invite, email support@appfront.ai to let us know. We'll accept the invitation on our end and confirm once access is set up.

Important: GoDaddy invitations expire after 48 hours. If we don't hear from you and accept in time, you'll need to send a new invite.
