Overview
Notify your customers when their order status is ready text message (or push notification and or email) for pickup or delivery.
The “Order Ready” notification can be linked to either a pickup or delivery order. Additionally, there are two modes available:
With KDS (Kitchen Display System)
Terminal-only mode
The order notification is configured at the location level in the Appfront portal.

How to set it up?
To set up order notifications, navigate to the Appfront portal and follow these steps:
1. Go to Configure
2. Select Locations
3. Choose the desired location
From there, you can customize the order notification settings.
Once on the location page, scroll to the bottom right corner until you find the following setting: “Enable Text Message When Order is Ready.”
When toggled on, an SMS notification will be sent once the order is marked as "Ready" from the KDS (Toast POS only).
Notify without KDS
When enabled, the SMS notification will be sent as soon as a menu item is added to the order from the POS. We recommend creating a dedicated menu item for this purpose and using it as the trigger.
