Managing Deals & Upsells

This guide walks you through where to find Deals, how to create them, and how to configure them properly.

πŸ“ Where to Find Deals

  1. Log into the Portal

  2. Select Campaigns in the left-hand navigation

  3. Click the Deals & Upsells tab at the top

Here, you can:

  • Search for existing deals

  • Filter by Active or Disabled

  • Create new deals

  • View Total Sales (last 7 days)

  • View Total Orders (last 7 days)

This gives you quick performance insights for all active promotions.


Creating a New Deal

Click Create Deal to begin.

You will move through several setup sections:


Step 1: Overview

This page confirms what type of deal you are creating:

  • Discount

  • Combo

  • Upsell

You can preview the deal experience at any time during setup.


Step 2: Setup

Choose Your Deal Type

Available options:

  • Combo – Bundle items together at a special value

  • Percentage Off Check – Apply a discount to the full order

  • Group Deal – Offer a deal to a specific customer group

  • AI Automatic Upsell (NEW) – Automatically recommends add-on items during checkout based on customer behavior

πŸ€– About AI Automatic Upsell

This option uses ordering behavior to suggest relevant add-ons in the checkout panel (right side of the ordering platform). No manual pairing required.


Configuration Options

You can customize:

  • Specific items included in the deal

  • Items to exclude (for discounts)

  • Serving options (pickup, delivery, etc.)

  • Locations

  • Platforms (e.g., mobile app only, exclude web)

  • Customer groups (include or exclude)

  • Available days and hours

  • Login requirement

  • Max uses per order


Step 3: Promo & Display

In this section, you can:

  • Add a Promo Code (optional)

  • Define combo group behavior (if applicable)

  • Customize display settings


Step 4: POS Discount Sync (Important)

If your deal includes a true discount:

βœ”οΈ Enable Send discount to POS if you want the discount reflected in POS reporting.

If this is not selected, the discount will apply online but may not reflect in your POS.


Previewing Your Deal

At any point during setup, you can preview how your deal will appear in your ordering experience before publishing.


Best Practices

  • Double-check platform and location restrictions before activating.

  • Confirm whether login is required.

  • If using a discount, ensure the POS sync setting is correct.

  • Use the 7-day Sales and Orders view to quickly evaluate performance.


Troubleshooting

If a deal is not appearing or functioning as expected, check:

  • Deal status (Active vs Disabled)

  • Location or platform limitations

  • Group inclusion/exclusion

  • Available hours

  • Login requirement

  • POS discount setting
