Where to find it

Deals now live under Campaigns > Deals & Upsells in the portal. Click Add New to start building one.

Step 1: Choose discount or upsell, then a deal type

Discount types include:

  • Percentage off check (you can also cap the maximum discount amount, e.g., 10% off capped at $10, so a $500 cart doesn't trigger an oversized discount)

  • Amount off check

  • Items combo deal (e.g., buy one get one free, or buy one get one 50% off)

  • Group deal

  • Delivery discount (e.g., free delivery for life for a specific group)

Step 2: Set limitations

  • Minimum order total for the deal to kick in (e.g., 10% off only on carts $20+)

  • Whether a customer must be logged in — member-only or open to guests too

Step 3: Set availability

  • Locations — limit to specific stores

  • Serving options — pickup, delivery, or both

  • Platforms — app-only deals are a great way to drive app downloads, since push notifications only reach app users

  • User group — target a specific segment

  • Available hours — specific days/times the deal is live

Step 4: Promo codes

Promo codes are not case-sensitive — "WEBINAR," "webinar," and "Webinar" all apply the same discount.

Step 5: Display & POS sync

You can choose to display the deal at the top of your menu. The "send discount to POS" toggle is usually left on — but turn it off if the discounted price is already programmed into your POS as time-specific pricing (e.g., a Taco Tuesday item that's already $5 in the POS for that window). Leaving it on in that case would double the discount; turning it off lets the deal simply showcase a price that's already live in your POS.

Upsells

Upsells use the same builder. Choose manual combination (you pick the specific items to suggest) or AI Automatic (the system suggests based on order data). Upsells don't need a discount at all — they can be plain suggestions (e.g., "add guacamole and sour cream"). Add images to every upsell item; customers eat with their eyes first, even online.

Preview & activate

Use the Preview button to see exactly how the deal or upsell will appear at checkout before turning it on. A deal only goes live once you click both Enable and Publish.
