Overview
You can customize how a menu category appears to customers — renaming the category heading or hiding specific items — directly from the Appfront portal.
Note: menu category visibility and hours are normally synced automatically from your POS. A manual override made here takes precedence over the POS setting, so make sure any change is intentional — otherwise a future POS sync may appear not to "stick."
Steps
Go to Advanced Settings > Configure > Menu.
To rename a subcategory heading shown to customers (for example, hiding a generic "Drinks" label so only item names show), edit the subcategory name field.
To hide specific items within a category (for example, certain Soft Drinks or Milkshakes), uncheck them.
Click Save.
